Gartnafuaran Farm Holiday Cottage

For a secluded self-catering holiday in the Trossachs region of Scotland, Gartnafuaran Farm Cottage offers accommodation on a small working farm.  The farm is set in 130 acres of beautiful Perthshire countryside, with two miles of trout river, and magnificent views in every direction.  The cottage, farmhouse and outbuildings pre-date 1726, when according to records the deeds were lost in a fire.

The cottage has been awarded 4 Stars by the Scottish Tourist Board.  The accommodation is centrally heated throughout and sleeps 4.  There is a spacious sitting room with dining table, colour television and wood-burning stove ( plenty of logs available, free).

The kitchen is fully equipped with a washer/dryer, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, and an electric cooker, as well as kettle and toaster.  We provide tea, coffee, milk, bread and butter for our guests, in case they arrive late, also basic cleaning materials.

The cottage has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twin singles, (we can supply a cot if required).  Continental quilts, linen and towels are provided.  There is a large shower in the shower-room, as well as a toilet and washbasin.

HEATING, ELECTRICITY, ALL LINEN and AMENITIES are included in the RENTAL, (no hidden extras).

The kitchen door leads onto a  large secure private garden for which our guests have sole use. Outside drying, garden furniture and barbecue facilities are provided.  There is private parking on site, and storage for bicycles.
Guests are also very welcome to explore the land, go fishing, see the horses, look out for deer and red squirrels.  Or maybe, try and find the Cairn to the Buchanan, who in the 15th century was slain at the back of the farm by the MacLarens.  All because of a smack with a dead salmon!

Gartnafuaran Farm Cottage is open from April to October.
Bookings are Saturday to Saturday, with entry after 3 pm.
Dates outwith this period, as well as short breaks, will be considered.
